Kutch Wildlife Photography Competition 2020
Welcome to the first annual Kutch Wildlife Photography Competition. This is your chance to both show your photography skills and help spread the message of conservation. We want you to show us a different side of Kutch that the public rarely gets to see - whether it is a reptile, mammal, or bird!
Your submissions will be judged by a panel of top tier international judges who have extensive experience with wildlife and photography. The top 3 winners will receive cash prizes, as well as get permanent feature on our website, social media, and beyond. Every participant will get a certificate and a chance to have their photographs featured on their species' page on KutchWildlife.com!
Rules
- You must be a resident of Kutch.
- Must be a photo of a species of Kutch, whether a native, migratory, or a vagrant. It must be either a bird, reptile, or mammal.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
- Must not be a winner or runner up photo in other previous contests.
- Color correction and minor enhancements allowed, but photo manipulation is strictly forbidden.
- Must not publish the photo anywhere else until after the contest ends.
- Photo must not be older than one year.
- Judges decision will be final.
Submission Guidelines
- You can submit up to 5 photos.
- Image must be at least 1600 pixels large (width or height).
- For the submission and judging process, watermarks are not allowed. But your watermark will be added for the final published version. Entries with watermark may be returned or disqualified.
- Ensure the submission file is named in this format Your_Full_Name_SubmissionNumber.jpg. For example, Raju_Shah_5.jpg.
- We encourage EXIF data to be kept in the image metadata (f/stop, ISO, shutter speed, etc.). You may remove location/GPS data if any.

Deadline
- Entries must be submitted by December 31, 2020 (11:59PM IST).
- Winners will be announced on January 9, 2021.

- Winners will be featured on the species' page, our social media, newspaper articles, and contest history page.
- Every participant has a chance to get their photos featured on the species page and receive permanent credit.
- All participants will receive a digital certificate.
Judges
Mukul Soman
Mukul Soman is an award winning wildlife photographer and artist. He uses his raw, powerful style of photography as an educational tool to spread awareness about wildlife, especially in the Pacific Northwest. He also teaches workshops and is a member of the University of Washington Continuum Advistory board. Mukul is also a senior CG industry veteran with titles like the Halo franchise, Shadow of War, and Captain America: The First Avenger under his belt. Kimberly Tripp
Kimberly is a wildlife photographer who has captured amazing moments both above and below the water. Her photography has taken her from Alaska to the Galapagos Islands to the Russian Far East, and beyond. She posts her images at @kimberlyltripp on Instagram, and through her website Blue Water Images.
Dr. Tushar Patel, IFS
Dr. Patel has extensive experience with wildlife conservation having served in the Indian Forest Service for over a decade. He currently serves as the Deputy Conservator of Forests, Kutch (West) where he oversees several major conservation and protection projects, including the protection of the critically endangered species such as Great Indian Bustard, Green Sea Turtle, Mugger Crocodiles, and more.
